Prof. Nazanin Emami
Emami is a Full professor, at Luleå University of Technology, Sweden and leader of the Polymer-tribology and biotribology research group. She hold positions of Visiting professor in Canada (2012 and 2016) and Postdocotral fellow in Australia.
Professor Emami´s research focuses on processing and characterization of multi-scale and functional polymer composites in loadbearing applications, such as medical devices, other demanding tribological application such as hydrogen application, energy sector and EV. Prof. Emami publication is focused on manufacturing of carbon reinforced polymers, surface functionalization of graphene/2D materials, tribological and mechanical characterization of thermoplastic composites. Over the last five years she has been invited speaker in 18 international conferences, has published peer-reviewed journal papers in journals such as Scientific reports, Composite part B, Journal of Biomedical Materials Research. Part B, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Wear, Tribology International, Lubrication science and more.
She is responsible for National Tribology Research School in Sweden, and participate as principle investigator in number of EU educational program (TRIBOS-Erasmus+ master program), MSCA-European joint Doctoral Program Green-TRIBO and MSCA European-ITN program BioTrib. Her teaching focus is on multiscale and functional polymeric composites. Prof. Emami has a Phd within Polymeric Composite Materials.
