Professor Luca Magagnin is an internationally recognized scientist and academic leader in applied physical chemistry, electrochemical engineering, and materials science. He is Full Professor of Applied Physical Chemistry at Politecnico di Milano, in the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”, where he leads the Surface and Electrochemical Engineering Laboratory (SEE Lab). He has more than twenty-five years of research experience in electrochemical processes, surface engineering, and energy-related technologies. His contributions have been recognized with numerous international awards, including the Johnson Matthey Silver Medal from the Institute of Materials Finishing, the Hans-Jürgen Engell Prize from the International Society of Electrochemistry, the Outstanding International Contribution Award from the Surface Engineering Association (UK), and the Electrodeposition Division Research Award from The Electrochemical Society. He also serves as President of the Italian Association of Metal Finishing (AIFM).
