Prof. Siddharth Pandey
Professor Siddharth Pandey currently holds Prof. N. K. Jha Chair Professorship at IIT Delhi. After receiving his 5-years Integrated MSc degree from IIT Kanpur, India, Professor Pandey left for US where he obtained his PhD (North Texas) under the supervision of Professor William E. Acree, Jr., and worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Instructor at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York (SUNY-Buffalo) with Professor Frank V. Bright. In 2000, he joined New Mexico Tech as Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) of Chemistry. After spending 4 years there, Professor Pandey accepted Assistant Professor position in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Delhi, India, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in October 2006 and has become Professor in April 2011 (and granted HAG from July 2019). He was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Missouri - Columbia, USA during the academic year 2011-2012.
Professor Pandey's research work focusses primarily on optical phenomenon within complex fluidic systems, including non-aqueous micellar systems, microemulsions and self-assembling vesicles, supercritical carbon dioxide, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, fluorous solvents.
