The city of Hammamet
The Hammamet city is founded about 5 centuries ago and it is the oldest touristic centre in Tunisia.
To reach Hammamet from Tunis-carthage Airoport, you can get a Private Taxi (white color) from the Carthage-Tunis airoport to Hammamet and approximately it will take around one hour and cost from 50 to 80 Tunisian Dinar (negotiate if you are asked to pay higher cost or move to the next Taxi).
For a more budget option, you can also do the following:
1) Get a taxi (yellow color taxi) from the Carthage-Tunis airoport to "Bab Alouia Louage Station" and it will cost up to 10 to 12 dinars depends on the traffic.
2) From "Bab Alouia Louage station", you can take a louage car to Hammamet (it costs about 6 dinars). This a shared Van Car taking up to 8 travellers.
3) When you arrive to Hammamet "Louage station", take a Public Taxi (yellow color) to The Royal Hotel (Yasmine Hammamet), this will cost about 5 dinars.
For people coming by car via the capital (Tunis), take the direction of Sousse. Hammamet is between Tunis and Sousse. You have to exit the motorway in the second indication “Hammamet Centre" and follow the signs to “Yasmine Hammamet”. When arriving at “Yasmine Hammamet”, look for the sign indication for the “Royal Palace Hotel”.
