Following the success of our previous editions in Paris, Stockholm, Venice, Lisbon, Milan, Athens, Albufeira, Barcelona, and Rome, we are proud to announce that the 11th Edition of the EGF - Graphene and 2D Materials Forum 2026 will be held in the vibrant and historic city of Seville, Spain, from October 21 to 23, 2026.
In 2026, the scientific narrative has matured. While Graphene remains the cornerstone of the field, the global research focus has expanded into the vast library of 2D Materials (2DM). This edition emphasizes the move toward Designer Heterostructures, Atomic Precision Engineering, and Industrial Scalability, reflecting the complex requirements of the modern digital and green transitions.
The EGF 2026- Graphene and 2D Materials technical program is organized into the following core sessions:
In 2026, the forum specifically highlights emerging global priorities, including 2D water and nanofluidics, MXenes, and the AI-driven discovery of new atomic structures, ensuring a comprehensive roadmap for the next decade of nanotechnology.
This year’s conference will feature plenary talks, keynote addresses and technical sessions led by world-renowned experts. Additionally, interactive sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities will provide a dynamic environment for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The conference will take place at the Meliá Sevilla Hotel, located in the heart of Seville. EGF 2026- Graphene and 2D Materials is a joint event, held concurrently with SMS 2026, Sensors 2026, and NanoMed 2026, providing a unique multidisciplinary environment to bridge the gap between fundamental 2D science and real-world industrial applications.
