Surtech Middle East 2017 international Conference and Exhibition for Surface Treatment, Plating & Painting Technology will be jointly organized with Nanotech Middle East 2017 and Biotech Middle East 2017.

With the development of the auto-mobile, electronics, communication, aerospace and aviation, marine shipbuilding, high-rise buildings construction and machine industries, there is an increasing demand in the world for excellent and innovative surface treatment, coating and painting industries.

With extensive large scale infrastructure and construction projects undertaken across the Middle East to North Africa and soon into Africa the surface treatments and coatings sector is riding the challenge. Increasing urbanization, infrastructure development, public and private sector investments are driving these markets in the wealthy Middle East.

After a sharp downturn following the 2008 financial crisis, growth in coatings demand in the Gulf region of the Middle East is now surging forward again. This recovery was symbolized by the announcement that Dubai, which was dubbed the construction capital of the world during the boom years of the mid-2000s, will be the site of the World Expo trade convention of 2020. The emirate, which is part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aims to spend $8.4 billion on the six-month event with a huge exhibition centre, new hotels and expanded transport infrastructure. Two years later nearby Qatar will be hosting the World Cup, on which it has already started work on the building of 12 new or extended soccer stadia at a total cost of over $100 billion.

Through the connection with the surface treatment industry, Surtech Middle East will promote industry exchange and development and seeks to become the foothold of the growth of the industry by arranging a place for cooperation for manufacturing companies, small and medium-sized companies and global companies. The event includes a conference, networking sessions and an international exhibition.

The conference provides an excellent opportunity for scientists and engineers (academia and industry) from the region and from all over the world to meet and discuss the latest advances in surfaces and coatings physics/chemistry and the progress of the surface science and coatings approach of many related innovation fields.

The exhibition will host raw materials suppliers and equipment manufacturers for the surface treatments and coatings industries. It’s the ideal place to companies to display a complete spectrum of industrial surface treatment techniques/ processes, ranging from pre-treatment to coatings, painting and electroplating. It offers a platform to showcase the latest trends and technologies coming in from across the globe to attract decision makers from diverse user industries.

Note:

A Focused session with the title "Enhanced Corrosion Control through Surface Treatment and Coating Technology" will be co-organized with in partnership with NACE International.
