Focused Session on nanoporous 2D membranes and single molecule detection with graphene and other 2D materials

Chair: Prof. Grégory F. Schneider, Leiden University, The Netherlands

Description: Graphene – a one atom thin material – and other 2D materials have the potential to act as sensors or fluidic systems, primarily their surfaces and edges in the form of nanoporous membranes. This session aims at gathering researcher exploring new chemical and biological sensing (respectively separation) routes by exploiting the unique surface and edge chemistry of those materials.
